Pair of trash bins burn 2 blocks apart in Corvallis

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Firefighters responded to two trash bin fires just before midnight Sunday, just two blocks apart.

The first fire was reported outside an apartment complex laundry room in the 800 block of SW Washington Avenue.

While crews battled that fire, a second fire was reported two blocks away in a trash bin.

That fire damaged a fence. Police managed to knock down most of the blaze. Firefighters helped mop up.

The fires are under investigation.
