Section of paved river trail closed due to construction

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. - A 5-mile section of the Row River Trail will be closed through April 30 to accomodate installation of underground transmission lines from the new Dorena Hydroelectric facility, public land managers said.

Crews from Mowat Construction will perform the installation work on the trail from the City of Cottage Grove to Row River Road, and then repave the section upon completion of the project.

The public may still use the 11-mile section of the trail from Row River Road near the Currin Bridge through the end of the trail at the Culp Creek Trailhead. Users have several options access this segment, including the Dorena Dam, Row Point, Harms Park, Bake Stewart Park and Culp Creek Trailheads.

Please call the Eugene District BLM at (541) 683-6600 for additional information.
