Truck tips turning off West 11th
EUGENE, Ore. -- A driver took the turn from west 11th onto City View too fast Friday night and rolled his truck, Eugene police said.
Emergency crews responded to the crash after getting the call about the rolled Toyota pickup at around 6 p.m. Friday.
Officers said that the driver left the crash scene, but they caught up with him down the road.
Police told KVAL reporters that they suspect drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
A witness told KVAL News that the truck almost ran into the Applebee’s Restaurant at the corner of City View and W 11th when the driver came around the corner.
Typical drugs and alcohol involved in an auto accident. Â Sorry, but the war on drugs needs to revive prohibition because this is sounding like a broken record.
I hope you people don't drive like you comment.
Typical Eugene driver - probably the worst, most self-centered drivers on the West Coast.
W.11th is just like driving down the beltline at 4 or 5 pm full of crappy drivers who are angry at who knows what!
This is only one, these idiots number in the 10's of thousands in Eugene! I can't drive down 11th Avenue at the speed limit without just about everyone driving right up on my bumper because I'm not driving fast enough!Â
Morons!
Really would be more accurate if the headlines said pick up truck....then the ads that come up on auto would be able to pick up the right auto.....rather than commercial semi trucks....a toyato is not a Truck....it's a PICK up truck.....sorry just tired of the misrepresentation of a truck....
@camtrans You have to understand these are not journalists they are reporters camtrans, they don't know the difference...Â
Matter of fact, I don't think there are any more real journalists left in the lame stream media, they're all little kids who never grew up.... There is no integrity among them, which is evident by what they cover (news stories) or what they deem important!
Obviously, this was a resullt of an unforseen high wind event and the driver was disoriented after his vehicle was flipped in that high wind.Â
