Police: Crash investigation disrupts Alder at 11th

EUGENE, Ore. - Investigation into a car crash involving a pedestrian caused delays and closures at Alder Street and 11th Avenue in Eugene on Monday.

Fire crews and police responded to a report of a crash involving 2 vehicles and a pedestrian at the intersection northwest of the University of Oregon campus.

Police asked the public to avoid the area just after 4 p.m. and to expect delays for hours. That can sometimes indicate a serious injury requiring a police investigation.

Around 5 p.m., however, police updated the situation and said the pedestrian only suffered scrapes and bruises.
