Springfield Police: Drunk driver rear-ended school bus

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - A drunk driver rear-ended a school bus Monday afternoon, then fled the scene of the accident, police said.
No children were on the bus at the time.
Officers arrested Jody Fay Murphy, 35, when she drove back past the scene of the crash near Highway 126 and 52nd Street, police said.
Murphy was booked on charges of drunk driving and hit and run.
Jody Fay looks better than this folks....this is not a good picture I agree, she has been crying, probably freaked out of her mind...She isnt one to be in the likes of going to jail, and she probably thought her life was over....I know drunk driving isnt something any of us should do, but before people go condemning people, realize this can happen to those in society who are decent, law abiding citizens...and comment to that with acknowledgement towards that. people who think it couldnt happen to them are being ridiculas, and those who shame while being in that zone, well may someone one day have some mercy on you
Rough 35!!
@8203432 Get a life: Jody is having some problems and clearly needs help. People tend to look a bit rough when their life is upside down. Another example of vapid and useless commentary..
What a complete loser. Who is drunk while school buses are driving around anyway? Wow. Take away her privilege to drive FOREVER.Â

@XLRG All kinds of people drive "drunk" everyday. MOST of them are below the legal limit. You don't know her B.A.C. or her ability to operate a vehicle at the time of her arrest.  You must can for done see the future!!!!  No other details will be provided because the PO PO need to protect themselves. Wait it out.Â
@Stephen  @XLRG thankyou!!! This is my family member, and she isnt a degenerate member of society. Clearly as reported she did come back around to the scene of the accident because she clearly had regret and worry in her mind, otherwise she would of never looked back. As her family member I can tell you she is more than overwhelmed and has been emotioally distraught in this photo.
@Stephen , Seriously??? What if there would have been kids on that bus and she injured one or several of them?!? Get a grip! She wasn't SOBER and that's all that matters in this case. Her driving was impaired due to decisions she made so she needs to face the consequences!
@Stephen What's wrong Stephen? "PO PO" bust you for driving intoxicated on our streets with no regard for the lives it endangers? "Drunk" implies an impairment, period. Since she was arrested for drunk driving, it's safe to say that she was NOT below the legal limit and safe to drive. And we obviously know that her ability to operate a vehicle at that moment wasn't acceptable because she REAR ENDED A GIANT YELLOW BUS.
@Stephen The only proof that I need is the obvious, "She rear ended a SCHOOL BUS!!!" Even if she wasn't drunk, or fled the scene like a coward....

And that sounds like an alcoholic talking...
