Police ID shooter from Roseburg standoff
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Police have identified the man that they say shot at detectives, leading to a three hour standoff on one of Roseburg busiest streets.
Roseburg police say the standoff started after Jonathan Lackey, 23, a local area transient, started firing at detectives with a handgun at the Casa Loma Motel.
Douglas County Major Crimes Team detectives went to the Casa Loma Motel while conducting follow up on an investigation.
They attempted to contact Lackey at one of the rooms, and say Lackey initially did not answer the door.
A few minutes later, authorities say Lackey exited the room, aimed a handgun at one of the detectives and fired it.
Several other detectives on scene returned fire at Lackey, who retreated back into the room.
Lackey then broke a window out of the rear of his room and fired more rounds outside.
Due to the proximity of the shooting to Stephens, the road was blocked from Winchester north to Garden Valley. Several businesses in the area were also placed on a lock down during the initial stages of the incident.
Officers and detectives from numerous neighboring agencies responded to the scene and a perimeter was established around the room.
After several hours of negotiations with the male, he surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident just before 7:00 p.m.

There were no injuries to any of the involved Officers or anyone from the public. Lackey was treated on scene for a minor injury to his hand.
He was lodged in the Douglas County Jail, charged by police with five counts of attempted aggravated murder, five counts of attempted first degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon, among other charges.
His bail is set at $2,440,000.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released in the coming days.

This guy never fired a shot, the police did all the shooting after they urinated in their pants, the crowds just stood around and watched as police Officers threatened them, the only danger was from the Police shooting randomly in this poor slobs' direction, he never fired a single round, there are many witnesses, none will be called, it would expose the police incompetence that was on display.
I blame revolving door jails
Nice neck tatty dubert. This is one of those stories you wish the gun would of went off and not in favor of the bad guy. Little punk is lucky to be alive.
