Police: Man headbutts officer after arrest

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Roseburg police say a man who was taken into custody for trespassing at a local bar head-butted and kicked an officer.
Police say that at about 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, police responded to the Zoo Tavern on Diamond Lake Boulevard for a report of a man refusing to leave the property after he had been trespassed for life for a prior incident.
When police arrived, they detained Mitchell Lee Randall, 26, of Roseburg.
Police put him in the back of the patrol car, and that's when they say he became violent, kicking the window bars hard enough to damage them.
Officers say Randall then tried to move his handcuffed hands to the front of his body. When an officer tried to stop him, they say Randall kicked and head-butted him.
Police say they were able to get him to the Douglas County Jail, where he was lodged on multiple charges, including second degree trespass, second degree disorderly conduct and obstructing government administration, among others.
His bail was set at $20,000.
Looks like a typical punk to me. He needs to spend some time in the "big house" and find out what real "bad ass" means. Ouch!
Ho! Ho! Ho!  That'll get you time off for good behaviour...not.
Looks like they should have hogtied him.Â
 @PleaseBeSmart Ya know, you could stand to be a lot smarter yourself. I know you work in the "health care industry," but that doesn't necessarily make you anything more than a highly-paid wage slave. Advocating trampling on peoples' civil liberties makes you somewhat less than that, in fact.
 @Calgacus  @PleaseBeSmart Gotta' side with Calgacus. "Looks like they should have hogtied him." He wasn't aggressive until he was already handcuffed in the back of the police car. Should they just assume everyone could cause damage to them or their property and hogtie anyone?
 @ThisSpaceForRent Of course not. I clearly meant they should have hogtied him immediately after he started kicking the inside of the cruiser.Â
 @Calgacus  @PleaseBeSmart wow really?assume much do you?You think its wrong when some one tries to harm another to put them in a restraint where they cant knock some one out then stomp them to death,
cool freedom to do what ever you want rape kill steal what ever.lol
 @Calgacus =/ I'm not sure what you think you know about me, but I've never said anything about working in the healthcare industry. I'm a Constitutional law student and the closest thing to "healthcare" I've ever done was care for my grandmother for a few years before she died. Civil liberties are what I'm all about... but police restraining an out of control individual is not a violation. LEOs don't call it hogtying, but it's the same thing. It's the officer's responsibility to try to ensure those in custody aren't a threat to themselves, other individuals and property, and that often involves restraining them. Hogtying isn't pretty, but it's pretty safe and arresting officers don't have the luxury of the restraint chairs used once they get them to the jail. And the attack on my intelligence is not appreciated.Â
Drugs, another failure of the criminal justice system. I think if I had been the officer that got head butted, I would have returned the favor with a night stick. Oh, can't do those things in this mamby pamby day and age when everyone has a cell phone with video capability. No problem just wait until you are out of the bar and out of sight. Head butting is wrong in more ways than one due to the possibility of blood transfer that can be deadly these days.
 @souptonuts Are you trying to say there's no police brutality in "this mamby [sic] pamby day and age"? Blood transfer, indeed! As though these cops and these perps have any blood left to transfer. They exist purely for the sake of your entertainment, and for you to feel superior on the internet, and for you to fantasize about how you'd use your imaginary "night stick"!Â
 @Calgacus  @souptonuts medication stat this one has gone physco lol
Calgacus....You should cut out the coffee/sugar for a while...it's starting to effect your ability to reason, and you appear paranoid/in a dark place.
This is your Dr. Phil moment.
@Calgacus @souptonuts Somebody really did a number on you.
@Calgacus @souptonuts Well I can't speak for Soup, but I for one most certainly know I am superior to any cop or this perp. I am not, nor will ever ever be either one. And yes, I do come here for entertainment. Why else would I? For the intellectual stimulation? yuk yuk....
@Calgacus @OregonOrator @souptonuts Meth is a terrible drug
@Calgacus @souptonuts Really? How so?
 @OregonOrator  @Calgacus  @souptonuts Just wait til they put you in the back of the car, sweet pea! That's when the REAL entertainment starts!
Looks like a dubert to me. Nice turkey tickler on the mug also.
