Police: Ore. flight attendant stole passenger's iPad

OREGON CITY, Ore. — Police said a Nevada man who lost his iPad on an airplane used an app called Find My iPad to locate it inside the Oregon home of a flight attendant.
Officers in Oregon City, outside Portland, arrested 43-year-old Wendy Ronelle Dye Friday evening.
The flight attendant for Horizon Air allegedly denied having the iPad. Police said she later admitted she had it, but told officers that a passenger brought her the tablet saying it was found on a seat.
She said she never used the iPad and planned to turn it over to airline officials, but police found some of her personal information on it including her husband's birthday.
Arrangements are being made to return the tablet to its owner in Reno.
Dye was taken to the Clackamas County Jail. She was released on bail Saturday.
Dye faces charges of theft and computer crime.
A spokeswoman for Alaska Airlines, which owns Horizon, told KATU News Dye was relieved of her duty as a flight attendant pending an investigation by the airline.
Was the ipad worth the change in life status? Wow....
Clackamas? Â What a huge knock on Christ-a-mas!
They don't look all that nice when their not serving coffee. Â I guess the old adage "Finder's Keepers, Losers Weepers" doesn't apply here. Â She must be the biggest moron on Horizon's staff... well, not any more. Â If it was turned in, then why didn't she turn it in to the office there at the airport. Â Now I understand that a series of events will not allow the reasonable assumption that eventually leads to taking the personal property with you. Â I have to take personal property myself with me cause it was not safe to leave it at work and there was no one to turn it into but at minimum call some internal 24 hour phone number, which every airline company has, to notify that she had a device that was lost and report the serial number. Â However, to use it... it just plain stupid. Â I don't know much about Apple products nor do I want to but I do know about electronic devices. Â If at all possible... stupid should take out the stupid battery.
I miss the days when flight attendants were pretty and respectful.
Thiefs Suck

Is it true, that, once a thief, always a thief? So have you always been a thief or is this the beginning?
