Police: Robbers blasted victims with shotgun

LEBANON, Ore. - Two people are in stable condition after being blasted with a shotgun during an attempted robbery Saturday night.

Police arrested two suspects in the case and booked one of them on acharges of attempted murder.

Two men confronted the victims at gunpoint and demanded the keys to their vehicle at the Cheadle Lake access area, 2700 River Road, police said. One of the men brandished a shotgun and fired, hitting both victims.

The victims were taken to Lebanon Community Hospital for treatment. They were listed in stable condition Monday, police said.

Officers stopped two men late Saturday night just before 11 p.m. near Franklin and Mountain River Drive. Both men were taken into custody. Officers also recovered a shotgun from the vehicle.

Karl Bowman, 35, of Lebanon was booked on two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault and two counts of robbery. He also faces charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a prohibited firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and tampering with evidence.

Zack Olsen, 19, was booked on two counts of robbery and charges of tampering with evidence.
