Police: Stabbing victim a suspect in armed robbery

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The stabbing victim looked familiar to the detective.
Now police in Corvallis say the man who said he was stabbed in a fight with his heroin dealer is responsible for the armed robbery of a deli earlier this month.
Police arrested Nicholas Carl Laub on Thursday on a charge of robbery in the second degree.
Detectives interviewed Laub after investigating how he got stabbed in the chest and arms last weekend. Laub told investigators his heroin dealer stabbed him during a dispute.
The detective who interviewed Laub thought he looked like the suspect in a surveillance photo from the February 6, 2013, armed robbery at the Country Market and Deli on 53rd Street.
Police said a Benton County parole and probation officer also noted the resemblance between Laub and the suspect.
Police said Laub later admitted to the robbery during an interview with detectives.
This is all the fault of society for not providing him with his drug of choice in the first place. These people have a right to their drugs of choice, a free place to live, free car, HD TV, and free food provided by the people who actually work.   Oh well. A couple more armed robberies and we taxpayers will provide most of that in the Oregon State Pen or other facility.
