Police: Woman calls 9-1-1 on herself
NORTH BEND, Ore. -- A 45-year-old woman called 9-1-1 on herself after an early morning break-in ended up with her being locked in, North Bend police say.
Police say that the dispatch center got a 9-1-1 call just after 3 a.m. on Tuesday from a woman who said that she was locked in the Dollar Tree Store at the Pony Village Mall.
When officers arrived, they say they found Darlene Huntley, 45, of North Bend locked inside the store.
After an investigation, officers say they arrested Huntley and charged her with second degree burglary and second degree criminal trespass, among other charges.
Police say she is banned from the Pony Village Mall for the rest of her life.
Huntley was taken to the Coos County Jail.
Poor woman...the meth got her...
She's banned for the rest of her life, for the next three months???
"The Far Away Look" the farther she gets away the better she looks. LMAO!!!!!
Another winner that I hope doesn't add to the gene pool of society.
Let's see, no teeth, looks 15-20 yrs older than she is and stealing at 3 AM. Â Sure looks and sounds like Meth to me. Â "Mercy", help and trust to a mether and they will rob you blind in a heartbeat, and do it again if they can. Â Help and mercy can also turn into enablement. Â Postone--you have a big heart but don't let your religion cloud your vision.
45 years old? seriously? What did she do in the dollar store? take all the" nite- time coughing, sneezing, oh my aching face, my head hurts and I bet its killing you to look at, so I can sleep medicine?" Banned forever!
I had to share with my FB friends, its only thursday, they needed a laugh.
Yeah you people who banned this woman really showed her didn't you! No one thinks twice about helping the homeless at times, but when someone does something we don't agree with we throw them to the lions! Its easy to help someone you like or hasn't committed any crime. But no one shows mercy to someone less than sterling. I say the healthy don't need a doctor, the sick do. Meaning try showing mercy to those who do not deserve it, like your father in heaven did for all of us some 2000 years ago!
@Postone Burglary is a very real and very dangerous crime, and costs families, businesses and insurance companies billions of dollars every year. Many people have been down and out, but did not become criminals because of it. I help until it hurts. I spend over 60 hours a week working with people who need assistance, but when people commit a crime, they have to deal with the consequences of their actions.
@Postone Where does it say she was homeless in the article? And anyways, if you need help, you don't break into buildings and take from others. Just because you don't have something doesn't mean you have a right to take that from someone else.Â
@Postone Why would I help someone who doesn't deserve it when there are so many people who do?
@Postone Holy Stuff!  She broke in to an establishment to burglarize it!  She wan't looking for a hand out, help, sympathy or compassion!  She's a thief!  "Thou Shalt Not Steal"!
@Postone "Amazing Grace"  does happen to people.
This story has to be made up, you know, a joke. Nobody could be that stupid or that ugly.
Wow, she could break in but not break out... sad
maybe she was looking for denture glue maybe a hair brush who knows but you might be a redneck if you call 911 on yourself.just when you didn't think the day coulden't get any more funny.
The dollar store wth! Why would anyone break into the dollar store lol!
@Karen Mello Because the Goodwill has an alarm system.
