Police arrest 14 at Eugene apartment

EUGENE, Ore. - Police arrested 14 people early Tuesday morning at an apartment just west of Washington-Jefferson Park.
Officers were monitoring the apartment based on computer analysis of crime trends in the area when they saw known "persons of interest" enter the apartment.
Three people in the apartment when police moved in around 3:40 a.m. had active warrants for parole violations, police said.
All 14 were charged with frequenting a place where controlled substances are used.
One of the people was also charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Police provided this list of people arrested in the investigation:

Garfield Trailer Park Street. Just cage the whole area off and build a city jail right on the premises.
Somebody needs to remind them that meth will not cure scabies and syphilis, no matter how many times they try.
@Arch Stanton ---Doesn't seem to prevent tooth decay either, no matter how many times they remember to brush.
How can people see themselves like this and not think, "This stuff isn't real good for me?". I mean it isn't like this is recreational MJ use for goodness sake. I don't get it.
@OregonOrator ---I get it. With only public television, I am forced to watch a lot of Doctor OZ. Meth is an incredibly euphoric brain chemical. It boosts the levels of your own natural happy chemical in the brain (serotonin) by blocking its natural re-uptake, saturating the brain with happy juice. This sends a message to the brain to stop producing the juice, right about the time the meth wears off...leaving the victim craving more meth to avoid the worst manic episodes of depression they could ever imagine.
I took lemon drop meth 25 years ago. Was the happiest day of my life. Next day was the worst day of my life. Never did it again.
@peace And yet, you managed to stop smorting it and I was able to do it a few times and go back to beer. Imagain that.
Â
All your laboratory analyses aside, people can AND do quit doing the stuff by choice.
OCEANS 14!
Zombies all! They look like they`re auditioning for "The Walking Dead" I`ve known all of the tweekers that I care to know for one lifetime.  These folks are an absolute plague on society. I`d say we should give them a long ride on a short rope and then sell them to Alpo, but I wouldn`t want to do that to my dog.
I thought they looked familiar...I've seen them at Wal Mart!
spun, spunner, spunnest. Good work by police if only these folks could get help to get off the dope. Â Sad that political correctness or whatever one wants to call it happens. Â A spool of razor wire, some decent tents, many hand tools, acres of scotch broom, blackberrys, etc. to get these folks minds right. Not everybody can afford the Buckley House. Someone enlighten me if there is an affordable drug rehab. Some of this current year book photo will turn around, some die a slow death. Â Most of these young people have parents, brothers, sisters that feel the pain that these users do not. Â We need a specific meth court set up in Lane County.
@drinkmorewater ---Yes, the loved ones suffer the most because the abusers get  to be high with the curse at least a fraction of the time, while everyone else pays the price of a harsh reality AND their dead weight (weight of hellish abomination walking death).
It is just like that George Romero film. Even though they were your loved ones, you must shoot them right between the eyes.
Rashneeshpuram worked a little while, but they did not have too much meth back then.
@peace  @drinkmorewater your descriptions are accurate.  If there is a bright note I have wrote off some serious meth heads that low and behold cleaned up and sent a couple of kids through college. If they survive there Dracula years and can still feel that thing called love there is hope.
@drinkmorewater ---I am glad to hear that. And would certainly adulate anyone that straitened out. Am still more concerned that kids are inclined to sample and/or start a habit with it, thinking they can be more like the exception than the norm. I have a dear friend who was such an exception. But, he will spend the rest of his life on Adderall (a less harmful form of speed) and cocktails of anti-depressants.Â
A bunch of victims of the police state.
@Paul Kersey. I agree. a few of them looked like they were just there for a bong hot and some beer and munchies at the BBQ. Other guys looked like they were there just to get layed. Some of the nubials looked like they were there for the first time. But, that David Allen Cathcart, he was there for the meth and the young to victimize. But, that young one in the lowere middle looks like the same girl busted for stealing luggage at the PDX 3 days ago.
Those are some fine looking women and men. They've obviously made some exceptionally healthy choices long the way. I am sooooo jealous
@flor3nc3 ---I think all of the 7 women are attractive for a surprize mugshot flash shoot. I worry that because they are/were cute that they funded their habit by commerce in the world's oldest occupation
Legalize the junk and let them have all they want.
@givupongod---as long as they don't steal all they want. Tweekers steal things they don't even want. Time to see if my garden hose, dog, dog food dish, and faucet handles are still in my backyard.
HAHAHAHA...They will be back at it again if you can't keep'em than what's the point?=)
@IAMHIGH ---that is the vicious cycle for the youngest ones. Start them off in life with a rap sheet of drug convictions/charges and they will never find an honest job or a descent place to live outside of a trailer park. Criminal records stick and bite hard in this terrible economy. With such hopelessness, it is no wonder they turn to the happy powder over and over again.
So will they be booked and released, not put in jail??? What a joke ...
@Fennforests And with the money they're going to spend on EMX instead of inmate beds  they'll  have an even faster trip to and through the revolving door!
