Police arrest Springfield, Ore. residents on drug, weapons charges
AURORA, Ore. – Police arrested two Springfield, Ore. residents at an Aurora truck stop Monday morning after a trooper discovered illegal drugs and weapons in their vehicle.
Police said a trooper contacted Kris Pierce, 50, and Jesse Lee Yager, 22, in the parking lot of the TA Truck Stop near Interstate 5 at 12:01 a.m. The trooper discovered approximately 1 ounce of heroin, along with small amounts methamphetamine, methadone and other pills. Police said they also found a stun gun with Yager’s property.
Police checked for warrants and discovered Pierce was wanted in Lane County for failing to appear in court on a theft charge. She was booked into the Marion County Jail, police said.
Yager, who police say is a convicted felon, was also booked into the Marion County Jail on drugs and weapons charges.
