Police ask for public's help identifying person of interest

ALBANY, Ore. - A man armed with a handgun sexually assaulted a woman after entering a second floor balcony door on Wednesday, May 7.

A week later, police asked for the public's help identifying a man who may have been in the vicinity at the time of the attack.

Police called the man in the photos a "person of interest."

Police did not name him as a suspect in any crime but said "he is believed to have been in the area of the apartment complex where this sexual assault took place."
