Corban University student found safe

SALEM, Ore. – A Corban University student who was missing since Thursday has been found safe in Lebanon, Ore., a university spokesman said.

Luke Atkinson, 21, runs cross country for Corban and did not meet up with his team as scheduled Friday evening for a competition Saturday morning.

"He was never in danger and unaware of the search for him, for which we are grateful," said Corban spokesman Steve Hunt.

Atkinson is now with his family.

Corban is a private Christian university in Salem.
