Air Fair money raised goes to Air and Space Museum

EUGENE, Ore. -- The Oregon Air and Space Museum is holding an Air Fair at the LCC Aviation Fields Saturday and Sunday. Past Air Fairs  have been the biggest fundraisers that the non-profit museum holds.

The Air Fair features dozens of other planes and vehicles including old war planes like the 1937 Piper J-2 Cub, military vehicles and a coast guard helicopter.

This year's fair features two F-16 fighter jets that were flown in from Oaklahoma to be put on display for the Oregon Air and Space Museum. One of the pilots flying the jets in was former Eugene-resident Colonel Jeff Rooks, who is now commander of the 138th Fighter Wing of the Oklahoma Air National Guard.

Tickets for the Air Fair cost $10 for adults, $5 for children and $30 for families with at least two children. Admission to the Oregon Air and Space Museum is included in the ticket price.
