Relief Nursery breaks ground in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - A new building is going up in Springfield for the Relief Nursery, a child abuse prevention program.

The Relief Nursery already helps hundreds of children and families every year. This new building will help them reach more kids in Springfield.

"We have services now but we're going to be able to provide a vast, comprehensive array of services in under one building which is really the beauty of the Relief Nursery," said Kelly Sutherland, executive director.

The Relief Nursery still needs to raise more than a million dollars for operating costs. The money is supposed to be raised before the building is complete next May.
