RAINIER, Ore. – A 16-year-old girl died and the 16-year-old boy in the car with her was hurt after a crash on Highway 30 west of Rainier early Sunday morning.

Seeaira Hicks was pronounced dead at the scene, and Scott Hamlin was sent to the hospital in Longview.

Police said there is no evidence drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, but said it’s possible driver fatigue played a role.
