Roseburg man arrested for rape, sex abuse
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says a 38-year-old Roseburg man was arrested Friday morning for an alleged relationship that started with a 15-year-old girl.
Police say that at around 9:00 a.m., Paul Michael Roland was taken into custody by Sheriff's detectives and lodged in the Douglas County Jail.
According to police, Roland allegedly had a sexual relationship with a female that started when she was 15. The relationship was reported to have lasted for four years.
Police say the relationship continued until the girl was 18-years-old.
Police say they received reports that Roland furnished the girl with alcohol, marijuana and meth. Detectives and DINT Team members served a search warrant at Roland's residence on Kermanshah Street, and say they located evidence relating to the allegations against him.
Roland is lodged in the Douglas County Jail on the following charges:
- Third degree sodomy
- Second degree sexual abuse
- Third degree rape
- Unlawful distribution of meth and marijuana to a person under 18
- Endangering the welfare of a minor.
Roland's bail is currently set at over $3.5-million.
Sheriff's detectives are continuing the investigation.
