EUGENE, Ore. -- The non-profit organization Honor Flights is holding a garage sale Friday and Saturday to raise money for their program that takes veterans on trips to visit war memorials across the country.

While they call it a garage sale, the thousands of donated items make the fundraiser seem more like a warehouse sale.

Organizers of the sale at 2225 Coburg Rd. said that the profits will help veterans visit the memorials in Washington D.C. that are dedicated to their service in the armed forces.

Michael Pungercar with Oregon's chapter of the Honor Flight Network said it takes around $1000 to fund a vet's trip on their annual trip.

The sale runs Oct. 11-12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - More info
