Crash blocked I-5 in both directions

EUGENE, Ore. - A crash involving a semi truck and Mazda car blocked one lane of Interstate 5 in both directions just south of McKenzie Highway late Wednesday night.

According to Oregon State Police, the semi truck was traveling southbound on I-5 Wednesday night when it started going off the road and crossed into a northbound lane through the barrier and hit a Mazda car.

Troopers said the driver of the car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi is expected to be OK.
