Update

WOODBURN, Ore. - A semi truck drove over the top of a sedan and rear-ended another semi in front of the car Monday on Interstate 5 as traffic slowed down, Oregon State Police said.

Dustin Paul Campbell, 26, of Lyons died when his 1991 Acura Integra got crushed as a semi truck first rear-ended and then drove over the top of his car around 5 p.m.

Campbell died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, Gurpinder Singh, 27, of Red Bluff, California, was taken to the hospital.

The emergency response closed all 3 southbound lanes of I-5 south of Wilsonville for 4 hours.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash and has yet to give a statement to police is asked to call OSP Northern Command Center at 800-452-7888.

WILSONVILLE, Ore. – A fatal crash involving two semi trucks and a passenger vehicle blocked southbound lanes of Interstate 5 six miles south of Wilsonville Monday evening.

The passenger vehicle was pinned underneath one of the semi trucks and a man inside the car was killed, according to Oregon State Police.

The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital. His condition in unknown.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m. just north of the Donald/Aurora Interchange in Marion County.

Three southbound lanes were closed for about 4 hours, and traffic was backed up for several miles. Traffic used the shoulder of the road to get by the crash.

Police have not released the names of those involved in the crash.
