Sheriff: Roseburg man inappropriately touched 5-year-old

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 54-year-old man on a first degree sex abuse charge.
Officials say that on July 1, an adult female contacted the Sheriff's Office, and told them that her 5-year-old daughter had been touched inappropriately by Kerry Lee Mercer.
Sheriff's deputies say Mercer works as a handyman for the owners of the property where the victim and mother live.
The incident allegedly happened in the Roseburg area.
The Sheriff's office began an investigation into the incident, and say the 5-year-old was touched inappropriately by Mercer while he was working inside the home.
Mercer was contacted by the Sheriff's office on Wednesday, and taken into custody.
He is currently in the Douglas County Jail, being held on $250,000 bail.
Now if he would have only gone and got a job fron the TSA, he could have been paid to molest children all day long in the name of our "dear leader".
@Ol'Ironhead            Isn't that the truth.
The rate of sexual abusers overall is even scarier. The sex offender databases are in the gigabites.
When will people get that you NEVER leave the child alone with a stranger? Sheeesh...Â
 @LifeisGOOD007 Absolutely true, but most cases of sexual abuse are with someone the child knows. Which is utterly terrifying if you ask me...
wow the rate of handy men who touch children is scary
