Small fire causes evacuation of animal hospital

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Roseburg veterinary clinic was evacuated Monday afternoon, after a fire started in some bark mulch by the building.

People were seen evacuating animals as fire crews came to the Companion Animal Clinic on Military Avenue in Roseburg just before 2:30 pm.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and there didn't appear to be any damage to the clinic.

Fire officials on the scene say smoke was coming into the building through the ventilation system, making for some scary moments for the staff.

The building was checked and the animals were taken back inside.

The fire started outside the grooming building of the business.
