Snow, ice bow roof at Albany Home Depot store

ALBANY, Ore. (AP) — Firefighters evacuated the Home Depot store in Albany Sunday as a precaution because days of snow and ice were weighing down the roof.

The Corvallis Gazette-Times reports the sprinkler system broke and some electrical conduits bowed out 6 to 12 inches.

No one was injured, and there was no confirmation the roof was compromised. A structural engineer was called to check it out.
