State Police: Woman driving impaired crashes car

LANE COUNTY, Ore. -- State police say a woman was driving drunk when she crashed her car in Northeast Lane County.

On Wednesday just after 4:00 pm, troopers were notified that a vehicle had rolled over on Highway 126E near milepost 18, and the female driver was trapped inside.

State police say Wanda L. Keller, 65, of McKenzie Bridge, was driving a 2013 Honda Civic eastbound on Highway 126E passing other vehicles at a high rate of speed.

A witness driving westbound told officials they had to pull onto the shoulder as the Honda approached.

The Honda swerved back to the eastbound lane, hit a dirt berm on the shoulder and launched in the air for 80-90 feet, before landing and rolling onto its top against a guardrail, troopers said.

Keller was extricated by Upper McKenzie Fire & Rescue firefighters and transported by LifeFlight to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.

Authorities say her injuries were non-life threatening.

Troopers cited Keller for DUII and Reckless Driving.
