Stretch of Hwy 101 closed to cars due to high water

SEASIDE, Ore. - A stretch of Highway 101 prone to flooding is closed to cars and open to truck traffic at 5 mph only.

Beerman Creek on Highway 101 floods during times of high water and high tide.

The Oregon Department of Transportation on Thursday restricted that stretch of high to trucks only, with a 5 mph speed limit.

Drivers can detour via Oregon Highway 103 to Highway 202 from U.S. 26, or use U.S. 30.
