EUGENE, Ore. - Sweet Life Patisserie took the award for Best Overall Bite at Food for Lane County's Chef's Night Out event in 2012. They made their way back the fundraiser in 2013 still aiming to please, but put winning on the back burner.
"The best part is that it's a win win," says owner Catherine Reinhart, "It benefits a great organization like Food for Lane County, and chef's are quirky people. We are usually stuck in the kitchen, in the back, in the dark somewhere so it's a great opportunity to get out and meet other chef's in town."
This year the Eugene patisserie came with the theme April in Paris. While it didn't get them the Best Overall Bit award they did manage to finish off the night with the award for Best Presentation.
