Taking flight on a small scale

EUGENE, Ore. -- RC Model Airplanes took to the skies of Alvadore Field Saturday in a competitive airshow hosted by the Eugene RC Aeronauts.
Dozens of pilots came from RC clubs around the region to compete and exhibit their skills for onlookers. Even though some of the aerial feats look difficult, pilots said that anyone can pick up on the hobby.
One pilot said that the biggest challenge is keeping your hands and mind oriented with the direction that the plane is flying.
Plenty of pilots were at the air field today to teach newcomers to RC model airplanes how to fly the small scale aircraft.
The Eugene RC Aeronauts will be hosting their biggest event of the year on Labor Day. For more information on the Aeronauts visit their website.
Those would be great for traveling over national boarders unseen in light of the recent 100 million dollar contract awarded  SRCTec for  a real-time detection system that is specifically designed to pick out ultralight aircraft, slow-speed rudimentary manned planes that have a very small radar signature, on Americaâs southern border. lol
