EUGENE, Ore. - The Eugene Airport expects Sunday to be the busiest day at the terminal since the Duck football team went to the BCS National Championship game in January 2011.

One difference: two more airlines now serve Eugene, American and Frontier. Together they account for 8.5 percent of the travelers this weekend, according to Kaitlin Hunter, airport services manager.

A good holiday tip: If traveling with wrapped gifts, be prepared to unwrap packages for TSA.

Other good tips: Check with your airline to confirm flight status. Arrive early at the airport.

And watch the weather: A storm in the Midwest threatened to throw holiday travelers off schedule. There were no delays Wednesday at EUG.
