The Reel Life: Reality TV producers turn cameras on selves

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - The folks who brought you the reality show "Graveyard Carz" have a new project in the works: a reality TV show about making reality TV shows.

The crew at The Division Productions in Springfield is finishing up the sizzle tape for their newest pitch: "The Reel Life," a reality show about making reality TV.

"It's a little bit weird," said producer Casey Faris."Like the other guys, I'm used to being behind the camera. This is just a little bit uncomfortable for me."

"I think making reality television about reality television is an interesting conundrum," said editor Dan Bernard, "because no one's done it yet."

Mark Worman, the owner of The Division Productions, said he hopes "The Reel Life" will find the same success as his other series.

"At the end of it, you're going to walk away with some technical stuff, you're going to learn a little bit about what we have to do and the equipment that we use, and more importantly the mindset behind the producers of the shows that make reality television," Worman said.
