Three arrested on meth charges near Newport High
NEWPORT, Ore. -- Police arrested three people on drug-related charges Friday during the search of an apartment near Newport High School, police said.
On Friday, Lincoln Interagency Narcotics Team detectives, along with Newport and state police officers, served a search warrant at an apartment at 430 NE 5th St. that was linked to methamphetamine and prescription drug sales, police said.
The apartment is a half block away from Newport High School.
Jesse Michael Luckini, 35, lived at the address with Jade Nikole Leisure, 22, and Tammi Kay Brown, 45.
During the search officers found methamphetamine, packaging materials, prescription drugs, a gun and other evidence linked to distributing drugs.
Police arrested all three people and transported them to the Lincoln County Jail.
Luckini was charged with both delivery and manufacturing methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, maintaining a place where controlled substances are kept or used and possession charges for meth, Oxycodone and other prescription narcotics. Leisure faces charges of delivery of methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, possession of meth and frequenting/maintaining a place where controlled substances are kept or used.
Brown was charged with possession of methamphetamine and frequenting/maintaining a place where controlled substances are kept or used.
sometimes people need help but its because of the people commenting not such nice things makes it harder to speak out. i am Jade Leisure and i have made lots of bad mistakes in my life obviously , but that doesnt make me a bad person. and no whitesnake is not any kind of code except i know the history of music and am open minded. Yes i have liked the show breaking bad and yes i am one of the million that have liked and seen the movie blow... it still surprises me that people that like to go out of your way to look me up in detail and research my life ...and for what. if you really looked deep enough you would also know i have had no other history of drug use i know it takes only once. I am now working on cleaning up my mess. as far as i can see i dont know you and i'm sure those of you could be understanding people, and you dont know me i am not some low life. this situation has changed my life and i am a better person now.Â
Tammi is Jade's mother. Jade Leisure's  facebook profile says that she is a fan of Breaking Bad and the movie Blow, as well as the band Whitesnake. Say, I wonder if Whitesnake is code for something, well, I mean something other than bad taste in music.

All three are about as sharp as a leading edge of a basketball.
While I realize that meth makers and users are not usually the brightest bulbs, especially after using for a long period of time, how bright do you have to be to actually rent an apartment next door to a school where you market your product?Â
