Three arrests in Myrtle Creek homicide

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- Three men have been arrested, charged by the Sheriff's office with the murder of a Myrtle Creek man.

Deputies say they arrested William C. Aguayo, 21, Buford T. Harper, 27, and Jarrad A. Ramsey, 28, all from Myrtle Creek.

The Sheriff's office began the investigation on October 20, when the body of William Joe Bruton was found deceased inside his Tri-City area residence.

Deputies say the case was turned over to the Douglas County Major Crimes Team and has been investigated as a homicide.

Following up on leads and interviewing people connected to the case led the arrests of the three men, the Sheriff's office said.

Aguayo and Ramsey were taken into custody on Friday, and Harper had been in jail on an unrelated matter since October 27. The murder charge was added Friday.

Officials say the investigation is active and ongoing.
