Two suspects at large after Springfield shooting
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Two suspects are still on the loose after a Springfield man was shot in the leg early Saturday morning, Springfield Police said.
At around 1:30 a.m. Saturday Christopher Bluthardt, 28, got into a fight with one of the suspects in the Payless Shoe Source parking lot in Springfield. The physical dispute ended when one of the two men shot Bluthardt in the leg.
The suspects fled the scene in a small, dark colored hatchback-type vehicle.
Police arrived on the scene to find Bluthardt in the parking lot near Pioneer Plaza and Q Street. He was treated for the non-life threatening gunshot wound in the leg.
Springfield Police ask anyone with additional information about the shooting to help their investigation by calling 541-726-3714.
Nothing good happens in parking lots at 2 in the morning......
