 CANYONVILLE, Ore. -- Oregon State Police arrested two men Friday morning after an I5 traffic stop yielded over six pounds of pot. An officer pulled over an SUV driven by Daniel Deane and Ali Alnasir of Medford for a traffic violation at 7:30 a.m. about 10 miles south of Canyonville.

Deane played basketball for OSU from 2008 to 2011.

After calling out a OSP drug detection canine officers found six and a half pounds of marijuana and other evidence inside the SUV. Both men were arrested and taken to the Douglass County Jail for the unlawful possession and Delivery of a controlled substance charges.

This is the second arrest in under two months for Deane, both involved the transportation of marijuana.
