EUGENE, Ore. - TV journalist Ann Curry visited the University of Oregon's renovated journalism school building to talk with students ahead of a public lecture Thursday evening.
Curry, a 1978 graduate long ago inducted into the School of Journalism and Communication's Hall of Achievement, is in town to give the Ruhl Lecture on journalism ethics. Tickets for the free public lecture were all snatched up the day they became available.
Curry plans to attend the grand opening of the renovated Allen Hall on Thursday.
KVAL News spoke with Curry, who found herself on the other end of the camera with a former colleague from the 1980s: KVAL photojournalist Loren Ruark, who worked weekend with Curry at KGW in Portland.
