Uketoberfest 2012

EUGENE, Ore. - It is an instrument that some have a hard time taking seriously.  Then again, for the last 6 years, local enthusiasts have been putting on an event celebrating all things Ukulele.  Drawing in a crowd that travels from out of state for Uketoberfest.

From workshops to concerts, if you have an interest in the sound from what look like small guitars, Uketoberfest is sure to satisfy.  Held at Faith Center on 13th and Polk in Eugene, the event started Friday October 19th and ran through Saturday the 20th.

If you missed out on the festivities there is still a chance to connect with local musicians.  Local Ukulele groups meet the last Friday of every month at the Washington Park Community Center.
