EUGENE, Ore. - Veterans are helping other veterans find jobs through the VIP program at St. Vincent de Paul.

The "Veterans in Progress" program is designed to help homeless and formerly homeless veterans find jobs.

A team of a half dozen vets of all branches of service act as job mentors for the vets who need help.

The program is headquartered at the newly remodeled Highway 99 Service Station in West Eugene.

The program is in its fourth year, enrolling about 100 vets per year. Last year, VIP found jobs for 84 of the vets.

The jobs vary,f rom construction to manufacturing to computer techs.

On Veterans Day, participants in the program took part in practice job interviews.
