Pickup overturns, crash partially closes Highway 36

EUGENE, Ore. -- A single-vehicle accident blocked the westbound lanes of Highway 36 Saturday evening and closed one lane of traffic, the Oregon Department of Transportation said.

Emergency crews initially responded to the crash just before 5:40 p.m. Saturday two miles west of the intersection of Mapleton-Junction City Highway (Hwy 36) and Territorial Highway

An Oregon State Police officer on-scene told KVAL that a two-tone tan and green pickup truck overturned, sending two occupants to Sacred Heart Hospital at Riverbend.

ODOT initially reported that the Highway was closed, but reported traffic delays of over 20 minutes at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. There are no traffic delays associated with the car crash reported on ODOT's website at this date.
