Victim suffers 'significant injuries' in RV fire

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. - A 50-year-old man inside a camp trailer that caught fire Tuesday morning was taken to a Portland burn unit with significant injuries, firefighters said.
Firefighters got called to the fire just before 8 a.m. They found an RV camper trailer on fire in the 600 block of 10th Street in Cottage Grove.
The fire had spread to an adjacent garage.
Crews quickly knocked down the flames, which destroyed the RV and heavily damaged the garage.
No word yet on the identity of the victim. He was flown by air ambulance first to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, then transferred to a burn unit in Portland.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
