WSP: Car slams into tree after passing cars at 100 mph down I-5

LACEY, Wash. - Troopers believe speed may be to blame when a 20 year-old man from Oregon slammed his car into a tree Sunday morning near Lacey.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver was headed south on Interstate 5 near Martin Way when he collided with the tree.
Trooper Guy Gill of the WSP says witnesses reported seeing the car pass at more than 100 mph before the crash.
Gill says fortunately the driver of the car did not suffer life-threatening injuries and he was able to speak with troopers on the scene.
A tow truck responded to remove the car. WSP continues to investigate.
"Troopers believe speed may be to blame "Â Do you GD think so!!! You guys are GD geniuses up there.
@dkgiovenco ---And I was all ready to blame it on the tree.Â
That does not look like your everyday commuter. Â Why would anyone need a car that can do 100MPH? Â There's no speed limit in this country that says you can! Â Combine that with a 20 year old male who doesn't know any better was just asking for trouble. Â Just like assault weapons, vehicles like these have no business in our streets!
I am shocked that somebody could survive what looks to be a horrendous crash. I wonder If more then speed and idiocy were factors in the crash...
@XoztedMama I LOVE it when a person engages in name calling  and THEN incorrectly spells a word in their comment. (then/than ... there's a difference). Who exactly is the idiot?
perhaps its the governments doings so they can take our cars too.
@Bloom Harry What the hell does that even mean, Bloom Harry. Are you trying to be witty? Are you trying to make some snarky remark about gun control? What's your point?
That is one lucky idiot. How he survived is a wonder after seeing the aftermath of the car. Looks like it used to be a nice car. I wonder if it was his car, or will he need to do some "Splainin" as Ricky Ricardo would say?
