Wife of man accused of killing Whitney Heichel files for divorce
PORTLAND, Ore. – The wife of the man accused of killing a 21-year-old Gresham woman has filed for divorce, according to a court document.
Amanda Holt filed for divorce in Multnomah County Circuit Court Friday, Oct. 26 from Jonathan Holt who police accuse of sexually assaulting Whitney Heichel and then shooting and killing her.
Heichel left for work the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 16 and vanished. Her disappearance initiated an intensive search by members of her church, the Jehovah's Witnesses, and police.
Her body was discovered the following Friday on Larch Mountain and police arrested Jonathan Holt, accusing him of murder.
Through a family spokesman last Friday, Amanda Holt thanked the community for its support.
"Amanda wanted to express her gratitude to the community for its support of her – beyond just those in the church family," spokesman Jim Vaughn said.
According to court documents, Jonathan Holt told police he dumped Heichel’s body and also admitted to having child pornography. Police said they watched Holt ditch two handguns in an attempt to hide them.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not allow divorce unless there has been fornication ,which according to them can be defined as ;any gross sexual perversion ,that could include homosexuality, bestiality, and other forms of sexual deprivations. So this woman would be excommunicated from the Cult if she divorced the Jehovah's Witness member who killed Whitney Heichel.

 @Ritual99 He raped her and even sodomized her. How can you say that this is not fornication? Regardless, no "church" would say that she has to stay married to a convicted/confessing rapist/ murderer.

  @Ritual99 @ he admitted to have child pornography and sexually assaulted Whitney not to mention murdering her. All in which would have grounds for divorce for his wife... and is not the type of behavior that Jehovah's Witnesses condone. You should get your facts straight and maybe shouldn't rely on wiki answers. Also, Whitney was described has very sweet girl who was happy, enjoyed life and loved being around people....that does not describe a woman who associated with a "cult".Â

Really look at what Halloween stand for, halloween is not Biblical, do you really think that God would be mix with something like halloween? really think about it, Jehovah is not part of anything unclean, look at halloween and see who would appreciate it more, Jehovah's Witnesses have to abandoned unclean and disapproved practices that are linked with darkness 1Peter 2:9. Many holidays and the customs associated with them have a non-Christian religious background. It is this that makes them objectionable to Jehovahâs Witnesses. We try to follow the principle stated by the Christian apostle Paul: âWhat fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Belial [a false god]? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? . . . âTherefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,â says Jehovah.ââ2 Corinthians 6:14-17.
So if a holiday or a celebration is in some way linked to other gods or goddesses, or if observing it is contrary to our understanding of Biblical principles, we do not take part.

 @hewhoo  @Shelbygrl24  @Ritual99 Actually most all religions are cults. When you think about it there is a lot of attempted mind control, behavior control, association control, so on and so on. So referring to it as a cult isnt that far off base.
 @Ritual99 Kind of thinking that he will be the one excommunicated from the cult and she will be permitted to have her divorce. Considering as how I know other Witnesses who havent been excommunicated for divorcing and murder wasnt a factor in the reason to do it.

For all of you that have comment about Jehovah's Witnesses let me set you straight, according to Matthew 5:31, 32: "Whoever divorces his wife let him give her a certificate of divorce.â However, I say to you that everyone divorcing his wife, except on account of fornication, makes her a subject for adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.â If someone has sexual relations with someone else that is not their spouse than they will definitely get a divorce. We Jehovah's Witnesses have to follow and obey the Bible regardless of what other people think or say, you may not care of what we believe in, that is your right, but we as Jehovah's Witnesses do everything not for the glory of men but for the glory of Jehovah. One last thing we are all one big family and we take care of our own with love and support for one another, please get to know the truth about what we believe and practice before saying the wrong thing, we don't charge for anything especially information, we are always happy to help others.
