EUGENE, Ore. - Will there be school Tuesday?
Friday's snowfall stuck around all weekend and claimed a second day of school on Monday.
As evening approached Monday, many schools announced their plans for Tuesday.
Oregon State University said it would open late on Tuesday.
Public events that had been scheduled after 6 p.m. Monday at the University of Oregon campus in Eugene are cancelled. The UO will resume its regular operational and final exam schedule at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Sutherlin Schools said schools would be open but running buses on snow routes.
In Eugene/Springfield, the Bethel, Eugene and Springfield school districts all said Monday afternoon that they would not open Tuesday.
Glide, Fern Ridge, South Lane, Mapleton, Marcola, Monroe and Pleasant Hill school districts had all made the call Monday to remain closed Tuesday.
Marist and O'Hara Catholic schools; Life Lutheran and Messiah Lutheran; and Lifegate Christian in Cresweel said they would be closed Tuesday.
Springfield Christian kindergarten will be closed Tuesday.
Wellsprings Friends School closed Tuesday.
Drinking Gourd Elementary closed Tuesday.
Outdoor School of Northwest Youth Corps closed Tuesday.
The Eugene Sudbury School is closed today and the school board meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, has been postponed until Dec. 18.River Road Parks and Rec canceled all classes and activities, but the pool and fitness center will be open.
The Springfield Beauty College will be closed Tuesday.
