Woman burned, dog killed in fire
HARRISBURG, Ore. - A woman suffered burns and possible smoke inhalation in a fire early Wednesday, and at least one dog perished in the blaze.
Firefighters from two communities raced to 32860 Miller Drive in Harrisburg, off North Coburg Road. Crews from Coburg got their first and took control of the scene.
Crews found a 5th wheel camper trailer on fire, said Harrisburg fire chief John Goucher.
A man, woman and several small dogs were inside the trailer when the fire broke out.
The woman suffered burns and smoke. A service dog died, and a puppy may not have made it out, Goucher said.
