Woman returns home for wallet and discovers apartment fire

EUGENE, Ore. - A woman who forgot her wallet and returned to her apartment was the first to spot smoke in the complex.

Medics treated one woman at the scene for possible smoke inhalation. She was not taken to the hospital.

Firefighters could be seen cutting into the attic at Maple Manor and hauling burned furniture out of one of the units.

The apartments are located east of Highway 99 on Roosevelt Boulevard.
