Woman tells police her boyfriend choked her with his dreadlocks
PORTLAND, Ore. - A dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend took a strange and violent turn Monday afternoon.
A woman told police her boyfriend not only assaulted her but choked her with his dreadlocked hair.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. at a home in the 3200 block of Southeast 22nd Avenue.
When police arrived, the boyfriend was gone but officers were able to track him down and take him into custody.
Caleb Grotberg, 32, is now facing charges of second-degree kidnapping, second-degree attempted assault, fourth-degree assault, menacing and strangulation. He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Tuesday.
