KVAL News caught a real Santa behind the wheel of a Lane Transit District bus on Friday for a story set to air Friday, Dec. 23, 2011. Photojournalist Bill Goetz got on board to learn more.

Fire crews responded to a house fire in Salem at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. While fighting the fire, crews discovered the four bodies in the home. The children's father was later found dead in a car near Cottage Grove.

Snow removal on a single lane of The Old McKenzie Pass Highway (OR 242) has been completed, giving pedestrians and bicyclists an opportunity to enjoy the highway before motor vehicle traffic is allowed.

The remains were found by a Sara Lee truck driver early Tuesday morning on Fisher Road NE, just south of Devonshire Avenue NE behind a Walmart store.
