Crowds mark 43rd anniversary of JFK assassination

DALLAS (AP) - Today's 43rd anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy has been marked by visitors to the museum in Dallas where investigators say the fatal bullet was fired.

Hundreds stopped by the Sixth Floor Museum that overlooks Dealey Plaza. Investigators determined Lee Harvey Oswald fired out a window of what was the Texas School Book Depository as the Kennedy motorcade passed below.

Meantime, in Dealey Plaza, one of John Lennon's pianos was placed on a grassy area for a photo shoot in a peace exhibit. The former Beatle used the piano to write the 1970s peace anthem "Imagine."

The piano is owned by British pop singer George Michael.
