TACOMA, Wash. - Police have located a body after searching the backyard of a home in Tacoma where a teenage boy says he buried his father.

Officers responded to the scene, in the 1900 block of South Madison Street, on Tuesday morning after the 16-year-old son called 911 to say he'd killed his father and buried him in the backyard, police said.

The father was last heard from on Friday night and was reported missing Saturday by another family member.

Officers searched the backyard, then prepared to bring in cadaver dogs to perform a more thorough search. Word came Tuesday evening that a body had been located and while the medical examiner is working its identification, it's believed to be the father.

The son was interviewed at the scene, then was taken away in a patrol car, says KOMO News reporter Keith Eldridge.
