The Idaho National Guard says the first four AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters have arrived at Gowen Field for training and possible future deployments. By 2013, Gowen will have 24. The state-of-the-art helicopters cost about $20 million a piece.

A mother and her three children were found dead in a burned house, and the children's father was found dead later in a car, all victims of what police in this city in northwest Oregon said Tuesday appeared to be a murder-suicide.

Fire crews responded to a house fire in Salem at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. While fighting the fire, crews discovered the four bodies in the home. The children's father was later found dead in a car near Cottage Grove.
